Our products and services facilitate paper-less archiving, retrieval, and indexing, of all documents. Including:

• Automate the process of scanning and organising large numbers of documents.

• Dynamic Forms Processing allows you to automatically extract index information no matter where it appears on the document.

• Allows you to map its index fields to fields in the PrintBOS Archive server database table.

• Can be configured to create new records or update existing ones in the PrintBOS Archive or another database.

Simple Index is a tool to automate the process of scanning and organising large numbers of documents. As its name implies, Simple Index was designed to be easy to use. Relative to other document capture solutions with this much flexibility, and is much simpler especially for the operator. It does this by providing a smooth workflow that takes the user automatically through the stages of scanning, processing, indexing and exporting documents. It also links seamlessly with the PrintBOS Archive Server for ease of storage and retrieval of all documents.

One of the main differences between Simple Index and other high-speed scanning applications is that our solution is designed around a single batch processing model.  Other programs are designed to process batches in stages that run on separate computers like an assembly line, this can be costly and inefficient.  These stages are:

01Import (scan or read existing files)

02Process (cleanup, OCR, barcode recognition)

03Index (assign keyword values for filenames or database fields)

04Quality Control (review, revise & rescan)

05Export (create file structure, convert to PDF, export index values and image to log, database and PrintBOS Archive)

Other packages require the user to enter a separate set of commands to launch each stage.  Simple Index is designed to quickly scan and index a single batch by allowing you to perform each stage automatically in sequence.  This design makes our solution much faster and easier to use than other scanning software.  It also simplifies the underlying programming, dramatically lowering the cost.
